Understanding the Rapture

As members of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church community, we believe in the biblical concept of the Rapture, a significant event prophesied in Matthew 24. In this passage, Jesus speaks about the end times and the coming of the Son of Man. The Rapture refers to the moment when believers in Christ are taken up to meet Him in the air before the final judgment.

Why Prepare for the Rapture?

Preparing for the Rapture involves being spiritually ready to meet Jesus. While the exact timing of this event remains unknown, the Bible urges us to live each day as if it could happen at any moment. Our preparation involves cultivating a personal relationship with Christ, studying His Word, and striving to live a life that aligns with His teachings.

Signs of the End Times

Matthew 24 provides us with valuable insights into the signs that will precede the Rapture and the coming of Jesus. These signs include wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, the rise of false prophets, and the spreading of the gospel to all nations. By understanding these signs, we can discern the times we are living in and strengthen our faith accordingly.

Being Watchful

Jesus emphasizes the need for watchfulness in Matthew 24:42, stating, "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." This call to vigilance is a reminder that as believers, we should continually evaluate our lives, prioritize our relationship with God, and ensure we are living in accordance with His commandments.
