Introduction

Welcome to Twin Lakes Baptist Church's Lenten Discipleship Series! We warmly invite you to join our special Bible study during the Lenten season. As a vibrant faith-based community, we are dedicated to deepening our understanding of the significance of Lent and exploring its profound teachings. Through engaging discussions, thought-provoking insights, and meaningful connections, we aim to foster a sense of community and spiritual growth during this sacred time.

What is Lent?

Lent is a season observed in many Christian traditions, including our community at Twin Lakes Baptist Church. It is a period of forty days (excluding Sundays) leading up to Easter, commemorating the 40 days Jesus spent fasting and praying in the wilderness. It is a time of reflection, repentance, and preparation for the celebration of Christ's resurrection.

Exploring the Significance of Lent

Our Lenten Bible Study offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the significance of this holy season. Through careful study of scripture, thoughtful reflection, and engaging discussions, we seek to uncover the profound meaning behind Lent's ancient traditions and their relevance to our lives today.

1. Journey of Self-Examination

During Lent, Christians are encouraged to engage in self-examination, reflecting on their relationship with God and others. Our Bible study will guide you through a journey of introspection, helping you identify areas for growth, fostering personal transformation, and inspiring a renewed commitment to living out your faith.

2. Embracing Spiritual Disciplines

Lent is a time to embrace spiritual disciplines that draw us closer to God. As part of our study, we will explore various practices, such as prayer, fasting, solitude, and acts of service, that can nurture and deepen our faith. 3. Walking in Jesus' Footsteps

Following Jesus' example, Lent provides an opportunity for us to reflect on His journey to the cross and His ultimate sacrifice for humanity. Our study will guide you through the footsteps of Jesus, enabling a better understanding of His teachings, His compassion, and the significance of His sacrifice for our salvation.
